John was born and raised in Louisville.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Kentucky in 1984.  He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1987.  After law school John became an associate at the law firm of Boehl Stopher & Graves in Louisville.  John practiced there for twelve years before leaving to become a founding member of Phillips Parker Orberson & Moore. John focuses his trial practice primarily on defending medical professionals and municipalities.  He also has considerable experience defending product liability matters.  John is admitted to practice before all trial and appellate courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as the United State District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.  John is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky and American Bar Associations.  He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Kentucky Defense Counsel.
