John is a native of Lexington, Kentucky.  He graduated from the University of Chicago, where he earned honors within the school's core curriculum.  He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky in 2003 where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Trial Advocacy Board.

John began his law career as a Staff Attorney for Franklin Circuit Court Judge Roger Crittenden.  In 2006 he was appointed by the Mayor and has served Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Department of Code Enforcement.

John joined PPOM in May 2009, after working at both plaintiff and insurance defense law firms.  His primary practice areas include personal injury defense, premises liability, products liability and municipal liability.  John is a member of the Fayette County Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

When not practicing law, he enjoys reading, running, canoeing and mountain biking.  John is a Board Member of the Lexington Fair Housing Council, Lexington Children's Theater, Young Professional Board of the Lexington Public Library and the Makeanna Foundation benefiting the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital.
